Stop first if rotation becomes uneven
If a warming tray starts catching, making unusual sounds or rotating unevenly, stop rotation and heating. Unplug it when safe to do so. Let it cool fully before checking its external arrangement according to the instructions for that model. If the cause is unclear or the problem recurs, keep it out of use and contact after-sales support. Do not force the turntable while it is powered or open the casing to inspect the gears.
The National Meteorological Center's 08:00 weather update on 7 October describes the holiday return-travel peak and cool mornings and evenings in northern China. As the dining table returns to its everyday routine, check the placement of dishes, cables and nearby objects before warming meals.

Describe the observation before naming a cause
Seeing a plate touch a nearby object is different from diagnosing a problem inside the appliance. Record what is visible: which plate was near a fixed object, whether a cable looked trapped, and which operation preceded the sound. One instance of uneven rotation does not establish that a gear is broken, a ball bearing needs oil or the motor lacks power.
ZVVEN describes one-piece metal gears and self-lubricating POM balls across its range. This identifies materials used in the drive structure. Correct placement and the model's operating instructions still matter; material names do not replace an abnormal-operation check or justify forcing the turntable.
After unplugging and cooling, look only at visible external areas
| Area | What to observe | Scope of action |
|---|---|---|
| Dishes, handles and nearby objects | Are plate rims or pot handles close to cups, fixed objects or other items outside the turntable? Are dishes crowded, overhanging or unstable? | Rearrange only after the appliance and dishes have fully cooled. Keep dishes stable; do not push the turntable to shove objects aside. |
| Cable and connector exterior | Is the cable trapped by a table leg or object, close to moving parts, visibly damaged, or is liquid visible at the connector? | Keep the appliance out of use if the cable is damaged or liquid ingress is suspected. Contact support; do not splice wiring or substitute incompatible accessories. |
| Table and surrounding space | Is the surface stable, level and dry? Do nearby objects obstruct ventilation or approach moving parts? | Arrange the space according to the model's instructions. Do not insert tools, paper or other objects into gaps in the casing. |
This checklist records visible external conditions; it is not a repair procedure. Do not move or turn over an appliance holding a hot pot or hot soup. Ask support first if you are unsure which parts may be moved or how to handle them safely.
When to keep the appliance out of use
Stop using the appliance if there is an unusual smell or sound, a broken surface, a damaged cable, or suspected liquid ingress. The absence of an obvious obstruction does not establish that a problem has been resolved. Do not repeatedly switch the appliance on to see whether it recovers, add oil or cleaning spray to gaps, or dismantle it yourself.
For ordinary pauses while serving, see the guide to sharing a rotating warming tray. Routine serving pauses and stopping after abnormal operation are different situations.
Prepare four details for after-sales support
- Model and purchase details: use the rating label, order or warranty information rather than just saying “the white version.”
- Operating state: note manual or powered rotation, whether heating was on, and the dishes being used.
- Actual observations: describe catching, sounds, smells and visible changes separately, without assigning an unconfirmed fault cause.
- Existing images: use footage already recorded or exterior photographs taken after unplugging. Do not power it again just to reproduce the problem for a video.
Contact ZVVEN's official after-sales support. Support will assess the model and circumstances to decide whether inspection, repair or another action is needed. Warranty coverage follows the published warranty terms.
